HTC's Annual Fundraiser: 2007 HTC RETROFEST Saturday March 31st
Since 1997, Heartlande has produced this annual fundraising event. More than 100 individual artists join together and donate their time and efforts to stage dozens of brand new short plays.
Since its inception, over 100 plays have been presented as part of this marathon - the vast majority of them receiving their world premieres as part of this unique event. The RetroFEST will be a different format than the 12hr Play by Play Marathon. In an evening we will showcase short plays that HTC has produced during the marathon, short plays that have been developed in our workshops and will receive their first production, two short films from workshop scripts as well as a further developed play.
As a result, the audience is treated to a wide variety of plays, actors and directors representing local, national and international playwrights.
